- October 9, 1982, the first CD player was made. It was invented in Japan and was a new way to listen to music rather than on cassette tapes.
- January 9, 1983, Internet Explorer is created. It was inveted to us by the government. Internet Explorer came out with electronic mail and instant messaging.
- January 10, 1985, Microsoft Office is created. Bill Gates is the inventor. He invented it in the United States of America.
- January 10, 1986, Fuji invented the first disposable camera. It was invented in Japan by H.M Stiles.
- January 11, 1986, the boombox was invented in the netherlands. It was the first portable radio with an AM/FM receiver.
- January 11, 1987, the first pocket calculator was made in Japan. It had a lifespan of about 300 hours and was based off of a cassette tape.
- January 9, 1988, the first digital cell phone was made by Reginald Fessenden. It was not heavy or bulky like the other ones were.
- April 21, 1989, the Pocket Gameboy was invented in Japan. It was an immediate hit. The first game that came out with it was Pokemon.
